Pascal Bier is a Dutch photographer, visual artist and creative director working under the name Studio PAAR, based between the Netherlands and Cape Town.

Drawing on over a decade of experience in art direction, and a practice shaped by photography, fashion and international experience, his work explores identity, intimacy, masculinity and human connection through a refined and emotionally driven visual language.

At the heart of his practice is an interest in human connection and the subtle dynamics of relationships. Exploring themes of culture, identity, intimacy and human experience through contemporary visual storytelling. Whether working on commissioned campaigns, editorial projects or personal work, Pascal seeks to create images that feel both contemporary and deeply human.

Studio PAAR takes its name from the Dutch word for “couple”, a reflection of Pascal’s enduring interest in connection, relationships and the human experience.
